Sean Tyas jest brzęczącym słowem w trance’owych kręgach. Jest jednym z najbardziej komentowanych DJ / producentów obecnej chwili. Nie tylko przez fanów, z trance’m zaprzyjaźnionych DJ, na forach oraz w sklepach muzycznych - ale również w najwyższych elitach trance’u z Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn czy Above & Beyond na czele!
Nowojorczyk z urodzenia obecnie mieszkający w Szwajcarii. Twórcze umiejętności Sean Tyas'a przynoszą na parkiet mieszaninę melodycznej harmonii i driving groove. To właśnie tym ujął wyobraźnię społeczności trance’u. Wsparcie dla swojego brzmienia Tyas otrzymuje w przerażającym tempie. Jego imię jak wysypka ukazuje się na playlistach każdego głównego DJ'a trance'owego.
Sean ostatnio został oznaczony etykietą „ODKRYCIA” Johna Askew - znakiem firmowym, szeroko rozpoznawalnym w muzycznym świecie. Jego debiutem w marcu 2006 był remix Aled Mann "Cold Fusion", lansowanym przez takich DJ'ów jak Eddie Halliwell i ATB. Został zamieszczony na Trance Republic 2. Wtedy też wygrał zawody Spinnin'Records na najbardziej prestiżowy remix Sandera van Doorna "Punk'd". Jego pierwsza solowa publikacja dla Discover – singiel "Lift", stała się jednym z hymnów trance’u 2006 roku. Nagrodzona tytułe Single Of The Week w audycji Armina van Buurena A State Of Trance - "Lift" zyskał mocne poparcie ze strony Paula van Dyka, Tiesto czy Judge.
Popyt na sety DJ'skie Seana Tyasa zwiększał w zastraszającym tempie tak poparcie dla jego sukcesu. W najbliższym czasie Sean pojawi się w Niemczech, Włoszech, Szwecji, Turcji, Norwegii, Polsce i Szwajcarii. Zagra w takich prestiżowych klubach jak Turnmills, Goodgreef, Passion, Inside Out, Gatecrasher, Slide / Garlands w UK oraz w USA i Kanadzie - gdzie znajdują się wspaniałe kluby Spundae czy 1015 i odbywające się tam festiwale Dooms Night.
Sean był ostatnio bardzo zaangażowany w nowe single i remixy dla dużych tytułów płytowych. Śledząc jego letnie poczynania widzimy, że nie próżnował. Wypuścił 'Mirella' na Afterglow, Insigma 'Open Our Eyes' (Sean Tyas remix) na ATCR, Beam 'On Your Mind' (Sean Tyas remix) na Beam Traxx.
Sean poszedł dalej: wypuścił remix Mike'a Foyle'a 'Shipwrecked' dla tytułu Armin's Armada oraz nadchodzący remix dla Discover, Afterglow i Echanced, jak również piorunujący cover Legend B 'Lost In Love'
Po pracowitym roku 2006 Seana Tyas już puka do drzwi listy „A” elit trance’u. Został wybrany w głosowaniu Highest New Entry w TranceAddict i pojawił się w dziale New Entry na liście Top 200 w prestiżowym DJ Magazine.

After being blown away by some of his recent productions, John Askew has signed up Sean Tyas to join the existing Discover ranks. His first outing on the label will come in the form of a kicking remix he has done of Aled Mann’s “Cold Fusion” which will then set the standard for his first Discover single “Lift” which is sure to be another classic release for the label.“Mark my words…. Sean Tyas, a New York native and part of BasslineNYC (www.basslinenyc.com), now residing in Switzerland, brings to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony and driving groove that is sure to be just as effective on the legs as it is on the heart.
He got his start in 1999 with his first set of Tech-12s and started to learn how to mix music. But for him, this was not enough. In the coming couple of years, he put together a studio and began producing records as well. By the age of twenty six, he has already remixed artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, Moby, Daniel Bedingfield, Christina Milian, and PPK. During this time he got his start into professional DJing with clubs in NYC such as Shelter and Exit.
Moving to Europe proved to be a great move for Sean, doing all production for DJ Beam in Germany and building his experience as a studio producer. Eventually Sean decided to step away, concentrated much more on his own productions and remixes. "Mirella" was the product of this exodus, as it was promptly signed to Afterglow Recordings, seeing John Askew and Dave Joy remixes. This led to a follow-up remix of Duderstadt - Muhanjala, which has seen almost every playlist of any trance DJ this year, including Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk.
Despite the departure from Germany to Switzerland, Sean maintained relations with Beam, and the remix of Beam - "On your Mind" proved to be another HUGE club smash. Caned CONSTANTLY by the likes of Paul van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, & Armin van Buuren, this remix essentially locked Sean in as one of 2006's more endeared talents in the genre.
The hype on his up-coming Discover single "Lift", has just been even more amplified by Sean's winning of the Sander van Doorn - Punk'd Remix Competition, beating out over 250 other remixes. Due out mid-summer, Lift promises to be Sean's biggest release to-date.
Coming from the energetic trance side of things has given Sean a slight edge when choosing emotional tracks. He has decided to not go in the "Hey I'm cool too"*** direction of everyone and their sister playing emotionless electrohouse, and now has reached even deeper into the real "dance your fucking ass off" tech-trance.
In 2006, Sean has hit the ground at a running pace, and by now he has already played in many international locales, such Norway, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, England, Ireland, Scotland, Poland, Indonesia, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Italy, and of course America. As 2007 rolls on, dates are already confirmed for South Africa & Australia.
